Storytelling & Innovation
• In-class discussion: Discuss equipment check-out process, questions on readings, viewings and reflection papers. Discuss securing stories. Discuss the production process, pre-pro tips for producers, release forms, dress code, pre-shoot clearance, tips for conducting conversational interviews.
• In-class activities: Assigned teams bring camera equipment to class for mandatory in-class hands-on production workshop on composition, natural light, camera speed, aperture, focus, audio, zoom set-up with wired and wireless mics, interview techniques, and more. Review shooting guidance for videographers and HD vs DSLR cameras.
Teams pitch ideas for Story #1 on food entrepreneurs.
